Palo Alto Bowl Rolls Away

55-year-old alley to close next month.

The long and drawn-out closure of will finally come next month, the Mercury News reports.

A senior development manager for Barry Swenson builders told the Merc that the lanes’ last day will be Sept. 13.

The alley will be replaced with a 138-room hotel and 26 housing units.

An employee reached Wednesday afternoon confirmed that the bowling alley is shutting down but was unable to comment.
