Palo Alto to Dim Lights for Earth Hour
Earth Hour will be observed tonight from 8:30-9:30.
The tree lights on University Avenue in Palo Alto will go dark tonight in observance of Earth Hour. Even though the lights are LED and the City of Palo Alto now generates 100 percent of electricity from renewable sources, the City is participating in Earth Hour to raise awareness about climate change.
Earth Hour has been observed since 2007. More information about Earth Hour is available online.
