Veterans Suicide Prevention Hotline

The VA has launched a public service campaign to reach struggling veterans.


If you know a veteran or family member in need, phone the toll free hotline: 800-273-8255 or visit the online help center.

The Veterans Administration has launched a series of public service announcements online, on TV and on the radio to prevent suicide.

According to the Department of Defense, of the 30,000 to 32,000 U.S. deaths each year from suicide, 20 percent are veterans.

The new public service campaign is also reaching out to the families of vets, offering assistance with their loved ones.

The Veteran’s Crisis Hotline is staffed every moment of the year. The toll free number: 1-800-273-8255.
