McRoskey Mattress Company, one of San Francisco’s most venerable manufacturers, announces the promotion of Jill Bibo to the position of Director of Retail Sales, and of Vanessa Contreras to Director of Human Resources & Manufacturing Operations.
In her new role, Ms. Bibo will be responsible for all retail sales and for the customer experience at McRoskey’s showrooms in San Francisco and Palo Alto.
Ms. Bibo joined McRoskey Mattress as manager of the company’s Palo Alto showroom in March, 2010, following a long career in the retail banking industry, most recently serving as a Mortgage Banking Director for Wachovia Bank. A resident of Palo Alto, she holds a Bachelor of Science degree from California State University-Chico.
Ms. Contreras, Director of Human Resources since February, 2007, takes on responsibility for manufacturing operations, ensuring that McRoskey’s mattress manufacturing facility runs in accordance with company standards, covering budget oversight, staff development and quality assurance.
Contreras has worked in the human resources industry for over 22 years. Prior to joining McRoskey she worked in the hospitality industry, most recently as Director of Human Resources at the Hotel Durant in Berkeley. Prior to that, she worked in hotels located throughout her native Hawaii. A resident of Westlake in San Francisco, she is a member of the Society for Human Resources Management, the Northern California Human Resources Association and the California Chamber of Commerce.
Ms. Bibo and Ms. Contreras will both report directly to Robin McRoskey Azevedo, president of McRoskey Mattress, and both continue to serve on McRoskey’s executive committee, which oversees company strategy.
