Sacred Heart Schools Hosts 33rd Annual Auction Fundraiser

33rd ANNUAL AUCTION FUNDRAISER BRINGS COMMUNITY TOGETHER TO SUPPORT SACRED HEART SCHOOLS, ATHERTON

One Hundred Percent of the Funds Raised Supports Arts, Science and Sports Programs

Sacred Heart Schools, Atherton (SHS), www.shschools.org, a Roman Catholic, independent, coeducational school that offers a 21st century education for students from preschool through twelfth grade, held an all-school auction dinner fundraising event on Saturday, March 24, 2012.  One hundred percent of the net proceeds from the evening will fund programs including fine arts, science and sports initiatives at the school.

“Sacred Heart Schools is dedicated to offering the highest quality teaching and learning experience for both our faculty and students,” commented Director of Schools, Richard A. Dioli.  “It is the community of our families and invited guests that makes this event so special and successful.  For over 30 consecutive years, our community members have shown unparalleled support for the Schools’ annual auction.  We are grateful and appreciative for everyone’s commitment in providing our students with an educational experience that fosters development of the ‘whole-child.’”

This year’s auction theme paid homage to the alluring era of “Old Hollywood” and provided a spectacular night at the supper club.  Attendees enjoyed an evening of delightful fun, glamour and glitz while supporting the schools’ many programs through funds generated from the silent and live auctions.  The event was held under a 19,000 square foot tent on the schools’ soccer field, and the 560 attendees dined on cuisine by Betty Zlatchin Catering of San Francisco, and danced the night away to the big band music of Dick Bright Orchestra.
