Global Youth backpack Competition and Workshop April 19th

Young Outliers (www.youngoutliers.com) invites youth ages 9-13 to participate in a workshop on designing backpack prototypes for the youth market!

Studies using the MRI show heavy backpacks place significant strain on children's spines and may lead to back pain. 37% percent of children aged 11 to 14 years report back pain, with the majority attributing the problem to wearing a school backpack.

In this 3-hour workshop participants will link human anatomy and the design of backpacks for the youth market through a FUN, active, hands-on, and multidisciplinary learning experience. Gigi Carunungan, CEO/Founder of Young Outliers, will lead the workshop with Amyel Oliveros, Creative Director of SF Bags.

DATE AND TIME: Saturday April 19th from 2 PM to 5 PM

PLACE: Etz Chayim Synagogue. 4161 Alma Street between Charleston and San Antonio, Palo Alto
