3 Days of Fun, Art & Creativity Coming To Pacific Art League

"The Mobile Digital Art and Creativity Summit" is set for August 1-3.

The Mobile Digital Art and Creativity Summit -- a three-day-weekend event displaying the work of more than 100 artists  -- will open in August in the Pacific Art League’s brand new premises at 667 Ramona St., across from City Hall.

It will be kicked off on Friday, Aug. 1 with the grand opening of the second International Mobile Art Exhibition, hosted by Jonathon Reichental, chief information officer for the City of Palo Alto, and featuring a juried selection of mobile artwork from artists around the world.

The grand opening is followed by a two-day summit with a packed program of workshops, seminars and masterclasses attracting artists and educators from across the country. (See list of speakers here.)

Conference workshop presenters include world-acclaimed artist, Susan Murtaugh, Autodesk’s ambassador for Sketchbook Pro, the popular art app which can be used on multiple mobile platforms including the iPad,  to different android phones and tablets.

Each of the major art apps are official event sponsors including Sketchbook Pro by Autodesk, Art Rage, Procreate and Paper by Fiftythree.  They are joined by 20 other artistic app makers, who want to give creative people the chance to see what they can accomplish with their apps.
