A Rockin' Labor Day at the Palo Alto V.A.

Grateful Dead, Hornsby alums rock the house.

Veterans of various armed conflicts and their families enjoyed an afternoon of companionship, appreciation and great music, thanks to the nonprofit performing arts association, Bread and Roses, rockers Moon Alice, and the Palo Alto Veteran's Hospital recreational therapy services.

"It's a workers day, and workers in this country are a lot safer because of what you guys did," said Roger McNamee, kicking off the day on the green to cheers.
