NASA Family Night: Destination Station
5-9 pm, FREE with General Admission
Destination Station is NASA Johnson Space Center’s national awareness campaign that promotes research opportunities, educates communities about activities preformed on the International Space Station, and communicates the real and potential impacts of the station on our everyday lives. This special NASA visit to Chabot will include Astronaut presentations, autographs, demonstrations and craft activities for the whole family.

Astronaut Rex J. Walheim (Colonel, USAF, Retired) 6pm - 7:15pm What is the International Space Station? What’s it like living and working in Space? Hear how what we learn in space helps us here on Earth. Followed by Q&A and autograph & photo session.
Design an Astronaut Suit 6pm - 8:30pm Children (and adults) can design a “Flat Astronaut”suit and decorate it as they see fit. There are three suits to choose from: Blue Flight Suit, White EVA Suit and the Orange Launch and Entry Suit.
