Proceeds from the Great Glass Pumpkin Patch support the Bay Area Glass Institute (BAGI), the Palo Alto Art Center (PAAC), and the Palo Alto Art Center Foundation (PAACF), as well as participating local and national artists.

The Great Glass Pumpkin Patch, sponsored by Bay Area Glass Institute (BAGI), the Palo Alto Art Center (PAAC), and the Palo Alto Art Center Foundation, continues its exhibition Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and continues through Friday at Rinconada Park, located at 777 Embarcadero Road in Palo Alto, CA. This family-friendly event is free to the public.

The sale of the items, about 8,000 hand-blown glass pumpkins created by more than 30 glass artisans, will take place Saturday and Sunday, also at Rinconada Park, between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.

One-of-a kind glass pumpkins and unique glass objects will be on display and available for sale on the weekend.

The Great Glass Pumpkin Patch, the original Bay Area glass pumpkin patch, is the only Patch in which sales go to benefit three important arts nonprofits in the community. The Patch is also unique in that it boasts the largest selection and number of glass pumpkins in California. The event takes place just a week before the grand re-opening of the Palo Alto Arts Center.

The PAACF will host a “Candlelight Cocktails” reception on Friday where special guests will get a sneak peek at the art and will also be able to participate in a pumpkin presale. Those who join the Foundation at the Advocate level ($250), or who upgrade their membership at www.paacf.org/join, will receive free admission to this event. The Candlelight Cocktails reception is also open to the media.
