Palo Alto University President at the White House Monday

Not many people can say they've been to the White House, but after today Allen Calvin can say he has.

The president of Palo Alto University will participate in an Interfaith and Community Service Campus Challenge this Monday, Sept. 23, according to a university spokeswoman. President Barack Obama's challenge aims "to build understanding between different communities and contribute to the common good," the website said.

"PAU was selected for its exemplary interfaith project, led by our Chaplain Rev. Byron Bland," said Elena Arney. "I think PAU may be one of the only local universities invited and attending."
