Palo Alto's 'Great Race for Saving Water' - Registration Closes Thursday

The fun family event is Saturday -- April 19 -- at Palo Alto Baylands.

Registration closes Thursday, April 17 for the second annual Great Race for Saving Water, sponsored by Palo Alto Utilities and the Tuolumne River Trust.

The "5K fun run and tons more” event, is scheduled to start at 9 a.m. at the Palo Alto Baylands on Saturday, April 19.

Prizes for winners include a Tuolumne River canoe trip and Keen running shoes.  

The community event includes food, live music (Pig's Foot String Band), arts and crafts, raffle prizes, free compost-bin giveaway and goodies from water agencies, local non-profits, businesses and environmental organizations.

Shuttle transportation to and from the Athletic Center parking lot will be provided. Please bike, carpool, walk or use the shuttle transportation as parking will be extremely limited.
