Silicon Valley Restaurant Week Kicks Off in Palo Alto

Six local restaurants hope to impress with some of their best dishes at a fraction of the price.

Reposado will join other Silicon Valley restaurants this to kick off Silicon Valley Restaurant Week (SVRW).

Patrons of SVRW will have the opportunity to eat from a three course pre-fixed menu that includes a starter, entrée and dessert. Meal costs range from $25 to $75 and reservations are highly recommended. The week-long event aims to build a new customer base for restaurants while also thanking loyal customers with the more affordable prices.

Reposado will charge customers $45 for their choice of crispy turnover with braised lamb, a ceviche trio or potato and kale enchilada for a first course. For the second course steamed seabass, braised pork or Chili and sesame seed crusted tofu. Patrons can choose from rich moist chocolate cake, creamy rice pudding or Oaxacan dessert made with masa.

Other participating Palo Alto restaurants include Italian restaurants FIGO, Gravity Bistro and Wine Bar and il Fornaio, Indonesian-style INDO and Thai-style restaurant Siam Orchid Organic Fine Dining.

This year, SVRW will also include restaurants from San Jose to Los Gatos to Mountain View that represent an array of different food types.

Mountain View restaurants include izakaya style Japanese restaurant Bushido, Morocco's Restaurant, Italian restaurant Pasta Q, American bistro Scratch and seafood restaurant Scott’s Seafood Mountain View.

The Los Gatos Brewing Company will be participating in SVRW at both their Los Gatos and downtown San Jose locations. They are offering their house brew with the first course and the entrée.

According to the SVRW website, "This event is a way for restaurants to thank local customers and for consumers to show their support for restaurants."

Featured restaurants for spring are Palacio, Village, La Viga, Reposado, Citrus, Vinsanto, Firehouse No. 1, and Mezcal.

In addition to gorging themselves on all types of food, those interested in SVRW can go online to enter to win a one night weekend stay at Hotel Valencia in Santana Row.
