We're Shouting Out About Our New Patch Boards—And You Can Shout There, Too

One of the new features on Patch is "Boards."

Located at the top center of the Palo Alto Patch home page, the "Boards" enable you to make an announcement, speak your mind, or sell something.

On the "All Boards" page, you can check out the latest posts from your neighbors or Patch Local Editor Claudia Cruz. You can also select a specific board, depending on what interests you:

• On the "Announcements" Board, you'll see posts such as lost cats and dogs, school plays, wedding announcements or a photo of that gorgeous sunset. If the farmer's market gets rained out while you're there, post the information and let your neighbors know. (Events can be found and posted on our "Events" page. Click here.)

• The "Buy, Sell, Trade" Board works just like a newspaper classifieds section. It's a great way to find what you want locally.

• The "Business Updates" Board provides local shop owners with a chance to reach out to customers, telling them about specials or store hour changes. Just add a new dish to your restaurant's menu? Let everyone know here!

• The "Speak Out" Board gives your voice a forum. Disagree with your neighbor? Don't just stew over it; write about it. You can sound off about the late garbage pickup. You can ask for a recommendation of a good plumber when your pipes are leaking. Or see if someone knows a great restaurant for that anniversary dinner. Don't like what your municipal officials did at the meeting last night? Here's your chance to see if others agree with you!
