Where/When: , 299 S. California Ave., Palo Alto. Monday, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Why Go: Young children grow so fast, it can be quite expensive to keep them in clothes that fit. Blossom Birth, a nonprofit resource center for new and expecting parents, is proud to celebrate the grand opening of Blossom Beanstalk, a small store located inside the center that will sell gently used, high-quality children’s clothing for newborns through size 3T, as well as items from partners Tiny Tots Boutique and The Playstore, such as cloth diapers, baby carriers, organic toys and other items that support environmentally conscious parenting choices. At the grand-opening celebration, Blossom Birth will offer door prizes, workshops, program/class specials and refreshments. In addition to shopping, parents can bring donations of gently used baby and child items for the store and receive a tax-deductible receipt. All proceeds from sales at Blossom Beanstalk will benefit Blossom Birth’s parenting programs.
