Moldaw Residences is the first senior living community in the South Bay to host such an event.

The documentary is set to air on PBS next year, and this is a chance to see it before the release.  Moldaw Residences is hosting the event Monday, October 22nd at 2 p.m. in the Albert & Janet Schultz Cultural Arts Hall, Freindenrich Conference Center, 899 East Charleston Blvd.

“This highly inspirational film proves that you can follow your dreams at any age,” said Gerry Vadnais, executive director, Moldaw Residences.  “We are honored to host the event, and we cannot wait to meet the director and share the encouraging message with the community.”

The event is part of a grass roots campaign to share the documentary with the public.  The filmmakers are taking it to senior centers and senior living communities for a reason.

“Before we made the film, we thought the secret to staying fit as you age had to do with good genes or eating healthy,” said Christopher Rufo, director, Age of Champions. “We discovered that a strong sense of community and encouragement are actually the secret ingredients.  We hope this film influences seniors to live a healthy lifestyle and enjoy the community atmosphere around them.”

The public can R.S.V.P. by calling 1-800-873-9614. You can watch a sneak preview at www.Moldaw.org/Events.
