Music at Stanford - Scott St. John and George Barth: Brahms, Busoni, and Ives

Virtuoso musicians George Barth and Scott St. John team up for a beautiful afternoon recital, including Brahms' tender Sonata in G Major, Op. 78, also known as the "Rain Sonata"; Ferruccio Busoni's Second Violin Sonata from 1900, with clear influences from Brahms and Beethoven; and the gentle, easygoing Ives First Violin Sonata from 1914.

Tickets for Department of Music concerts are available at the door, at the Stanford Ticket Office located in Tresidder Union (Mon – Fri, 10 am – 5 pm; Sat, noon – 4 pm), or by phone at 650-725-2787
