Perceptions

About the Show

"Perceptions", Sanhiti's 8th annual production, is a grand dance production set to South Indian movie songs. With a large repeat audience over the years; it is our goal this time to delivery a performance you will remember for years to come.  Our volunteer production and dance teams have always delivered stunning production sets and a variety of dance styles in our shows. This year we challenged ourselves to do more.

‘Perceptions’ is our bold attempt at highlighting the audiences’ perception of individual elements that make for a great dance show.

The 'Perceptions' production team will deliver many 'first time on stage' experiences to the bay area audience. A range of dance styles from Salangai to Salsa; from elements of dance taking center stage to dance accentuating stage elements to reveal their full glory.  Larger than life production sets come to life in front of your eyes .. and for the very first time, segments bring together dance and production elements that have never been attempted on live stage. (shhh.. if we told you what they are.. you know what happens!).

And all of this for a good cause. For your convenience we have three show timing. March 31st Saturday 2.00pm, 6.00pm and April 1st Sunday 2.00pm. All our last seven shows have been sold out shows well in advance. We look forward to your continued support. (http://www.perceptions2012.com/)

About the Organizations

Sanhiti (http://www.sanhiti.org) is a premier South Indian Dance Troupe in the San Francisco Bay Area. Established in 2004, Sanhiti has showcased annual fundraisers for the benefit of non-profit organizations. All of Sanhiti's productions have been sold out shows.

Aram Sei, (tamil: help others,  www.aramsei.org ), is a non-profit organization that aims to be the conduit for helping grassroots organizations worldwide with specific focus on education and healthcare. Many established organizations have the means to raise funds easily, but many fledgling NPOs need a hand and this is what Aram Sei is all about.

Bay Area Tamil Manram (http://www.bayareatamilmanram.org) is a secular, non-profit, non-political and non-partisan organization.  It has been serving the San Francisco bay area since 1980. It was started as a group for like-minded Tamils to socialize and has grown into a strong organization of what it is now. Bay Area Tamil Manram is a cultural sponsor of Sanhiti's 8th Annual Production "Perceptions"
