The Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Community and Interfaith Celebration

THE ANNUAL DR. MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR. COMMUNITY AND INTERFAITH CELEBRATION

Featured speaker: Emmett D. Carson, PhD, Founder and CEO of Silicon Valley Community Foundation, philanthropist, and authorTheme: "Honoring Courageous Leadership and Compassion in the Face of Controversy"Master of Ceremonies: The Honorable LaDoris H. Cordell 

The program will also include a recitation by a recent graduate from Stanford University, as well as the school choir from Eastside College Preparatory School (EPA) and a choral recitation by 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students from Costano Elementary School (EPA). The Community Interfaith Choir will perform two numbers.  Anyone wishing to participate in the choir should attend the rehearsal at the church from 1:45-2:45, preceding the program.  Choir members can wear choir robes or a white shirt/blouse and dark pants/skirt.

This event is free and open to people of all races and faiths.  Everyone is welcome!  Refreshments will be served afterwards. 

This annual event is co-sponsored by The Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Community and Interfaith Celebration Committee, the Peninsula Chapter of Links, Inc.,  First United Methodist Church, Jerusalem Baptist Church, University AME Zion Church, and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
