Photo of the Day: The Stanford Theatre

The Mighty Wurlitzer theatre organ is played before and after the 7:30 show.

How did you entertain your out-of-town guests? Belmont and San Carlos Patch Editor Joan Dentler says one of the highlights of the holidays was taking family members to the Stanford Theatre.

Built in 1925, this amazing structure is a theatre the way Hollywood intended.

what an amazing theatre the stanford has been through the decades. it is really a classic. who is in charge of setting the schedule of showings of the films? it is good that you highlight the organ playing and ambience of this fine masterpiece of a movie venue

We had one of the best family get-togethers ever at the Stanford Theatre over the holidays---three generations together in one place was quite a feat---only a great Deanna Durbin movie like "I Can't Help Singing" in this historic theater could bring us all together! (of course dinner on University Ave. helps too!)
