Last Chance: Google's Student Veterans Summit

Taking up the mantle to help veterans find jobs, Google is offer an all-expense paid Summit to help former soldiers with job development in the high tech community.

If you are a local military veteran, this opportunity is right in your backyard.

Google, hopes to celebrate and increase the diversity in its workplace by offering veterans of the United States Armed Forces refine, build, and practice high-tech skills at the Internet giant's headquarters.

The company will accept up to 20 veterans to attend an all-expense paid summit on July 16th and 17th that will expose Vets to "a professional development curriculum geared towards your transition into the workplace," according to a Google press release.

To be considered the Vet must:

  • Be currently enrolled in a 4-year BA/BS program, in any major, at a university in the United States OR matriculate into a United States MBA Program in the Fall of 2012.
  • Must have served in one of the following United States Military Services: Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marine Corps, or Navy.
  • Demonstrate academic excellence in a business-related discipline and interest in technology.
