Looking for a Job? 513 Current Openings at Genentech
Most of the positions are for work in the north Peninsula area.
The Biotech industry appears to be thriving, at least in our area.
South San Francisco-based Genentech currently lists 513 job openings on the company's website. On Wednesday, 15 new jobs were posted, most for Bay Area work locations.
In a blog posted today, writer Luke Timmerman reflects on hiring at biotech firms in anticipation of a Xconomy.com event called “Building Biotechs to Last,” to be held the afternoon of Dec. 9 in San Francisco.
He observes that of the companies coming to the event, 899 current job openings are available, and half of those are posted by South City's Genentech.
