President Obama to Visit Facebook for Virtual Town Hall Event

Facebook users are virtually invited to presidential discussion on April 20, and they can submit questions online.

President Barack Obama will head to the Palo Alto offices of Facebook on April 20 to hold a live, town hall-style discussion with Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and COO Sheryl Sandberg. The discussion will be streamed live online through the White House Facebook page.

It's pretty easy to secure an invitation to the event—all you have to do is "like" the White House Facebook page, RSVP to the event and stream footage of the discussion directly to your computer. Registered Facebook users can also submit questions for the president through the White House Facebook page—or, alternatively, through WhiteHouse.gov/facebooktownhall—and Zuckerberg and Sandberg will choose questions from those submitted to ask Obama during the discussion.

As for the topics to be discussed, the White House Facebook page states, "President Obama will connect with Americans across the country to discuss the tough choices we must all make in order to put our economy on a more responsible fiscal path, while still investing in areas like innovation that will help our economy grow and make America more competitive."
