Steve Jobs' Diet Lands Ashton Kutcher in the Hospital
"An apple a day keeps the doctor away" collides with "All things in moderation."
Actor Ashton Kutcher, who portrays Steve Jobs in the new biopic jOBS, revealed this week that he adopted the tech pioneer's fruit-only diet to get into character prior to filming the movie. Bad idea.
"First of all, the fruitarian diet can lead to some severe issues," Kutcher told reporters at the Sundance Film Festival, where the film premiered. "I ended up in the hospital two days before we started shooting the movie. I was doubled over in pain.

"My pancreas levels were completely out of whack, which was really terrifying ... considering everything."
Jobs, a Palo Alto resident and Apple co-founder, died of complications from pancreatic cancer in October 2011.

The film is not yet playing in the area. It's scheduled for wide release in April.
