Waze Moves Forward Without Apple

Waze lit-up Twitter at the start of the month when an Israeli website, followed by Tech Crunch and Palo Alto Patch, reported that Apple was trying to buy the company. The story quickly circled the globe, bringing cheers from iPhone users who’ve already downloaded the app, and jeers from Android users who feared that their favorite traffic app would be ruined by Apple.
But the latest buzz from Waze is that the Israeli-based company has turned down more than one suitor in the past year, preferring to grow the company into its own mega brand.
