'Expressions of a Cancer Journey' Art Exhibition Opens Next Week

Come to a free exhibit showcasing the art from the 2010 Lilly Oncology on Canvas: Expressions of a Cancer Journey biennial art competition and exhibition at PAMF's Mountain View Center.

In honor of May – Oncology Nursing Month – you are invited to a free exhibit showcasing the art from the 2010 Lilly Oncology on Canvas: Expressions of a Cancer Journey biennial art competition and exhibition. There will be 75 pieces of art work done by cancer patients or their caregivers rotating throughout the week of May 7 to May 11, 2012, in the first floor lobby in the Palo Alto Medical Foundation’s Mountain View Center. An opening reception will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday May 7.

Each art piece is attached with a cancer-fighting story filled with courage, love, compassion and hope.

Sunny Yuan, RN, the manager of Oncology/Hematology/Infusion Therapy Center at the Mountain View Center, helped bring the exhibit to the area to “thank all oncology nurses and staff who devote endless time and effort in helping patients and their families through the cancer journey.”
