Work will continue on various Caltrain construction projects, beginning Saturday, through Friday, Oct. 19.

Details are below.

San Bruno Grade Separation Project

Day work, which includes digging with a backhoe and mini-excavator, will be done from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Crews will dig, install utility infrastructure, place concrete panels using a crane, excavate, and pour concrete. Crews will use medium- and heavy-duty diesel vehicles to transport dirt and concrete.

Night work will occur from Sunday, Oct. 14, through Friday, Oct. 19, between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m. Crews will use a crane to place concrete panels and will pour concrete.

This $147-million project will elevate the Caltrain tracks above three existing at-grade street crossings at San Bruno, San Mateo and Angus avenues.  A new elevated Caltrain station between San Bruno and San Mateo avenues will replace the station at Sylvan Avenue.

Work on this project will not disrupt Caltrain service.
