1. CELTIC ROSE VALENTINE CONCERT

2. 'iHEARTRECIPES' CONTEST

Where/When: El Camino Hospital at 2500 Grant Rd. in Mountain View. Contest ends next Wednesday.

Why Go: It's Heart Month, so the Heart and Vascular Institute at El Camino Hospital will award the best heart-healthy recipes with prizes, such as an all-expense-paid Life Line Screening (worth $149), and for the grand prize winner—a $500 gift certificate to Whole Foods. Yum!

3. FREE FROZEN YOGURT

Where/When: The Mix: A Frozen Yogurt Treatery at 3536 Alameda de las Pulgas in Menlo Park, Saturday, noon-5 p.m.

Why Go: Because who doesn't like free food? The event will feature a toppings tastings, music, face painting and prizes, too!

4. PROVENCE AND PALO ALTO

Where/When: Cafe Borrone at 1010 El Camino Real in Menlo Park. 

Why Go: See some of artist Nora Reza's figurative and abstract work that was painted in both Provence and Palo Alto.

5. 'MEET YOUR VALENTINE' SINGLES DANCE

Where/When: Michael's at Shoreline Park at 2960 N. Shoreline Blvd. in Mountain View, Saturday, 8-11:45 p.m.

Why Go: You don't need to worry about watching rom-coms alone this Valentine's Day, thanks to this singles mixer/dance. But you do need dressy attire.
