1. VOLUNTEER FOR THE WETLANDS

Where/When: Charleston Slough and Mountain View Baylands on Terminal Boulevard in Mountain View, Thursdays and Fridays, 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Why Go: Teach students about the Bay Wetlands as a volunteer during two-hour field trips for the Wetlands Discovery Program.

2. MENLO PARK FARMERS MARKET

Where/When: Plaza 6 between Menlo and Santa Cruz avenues, Sunday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Why Go: Load up on fresh fruit & veggies and you'll have no excuses but to eat well.

Pricing: Free entry; flowers and food for purchase.

3. WEST COAST COMPOSERS

Where/When: at 600 Colorado Avenue in Palo Alto, Sunday, 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.

Why Go: Check out the original work of West Coast composers, performed by the Bay Choral Guild

Pricing: $25 general; $20 senior; $6 student

4. MENLO FIT BOOT CAMP

Where/When: Arrillaga Gym at 600 Alma St in Menlo Park, Saturday, 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. Arrive at 7:15 a.m. to sign in and warm up. 

Why Go: Because it's free and it'll get you movin' in the morning.

5. DO YOUR TAXES

Where/When: Stanford Federal Credit Union at 694 Pampas Lane in Stanford, Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (through April 15).

Why Go: Get free help for your taxes if you earn less than $55,000 per year or your household earns less than $70,000 a year.
