Holiday Dog Treats Recalled

Most people buy Christmas presents for their dogs. But if your pooches chomp on this Christmas morning, it could make them sick.

The name is certainly cute, but the product could have ugly consequences for your pet.

Claudia’s Canine Cuisine is recalling DogCandy Holiday Hound Cake and Blueberry Hound Cake because of the possibility of mold. The cakes were sold at PetSmart stores in 36 states, including California.

After stores reported moldy cakes, the company investigated and found that the cakes on one production run were packaged while they were still warm, causing extra moisture. That moisture caused the mold.
