Media Blackout at Gingrich Stanford Roundtable

Five major networks show up, but are kept out.

Newt Gingrich arrived in a stealth black bus at Stanford today, but media were locked out of the event.

Five major news networks were on scene with cameras rolling when Republican presidential candidate Gingrich arrived to meet with Stanford professors, including Condoleeza Rice.

The event was part of a multi-day sweep through California, leading up to a Saturday, of which he is the keynote speaker.

Gingrich has been trailing in national polls since Rick Santorum's western state surge last week. Santorum and Mitt Romney are in a virtual dead heat for first place, while Gingrich has plummeted in the polls, to third place.
