Mountain Lion Spotted in Woodside

The big cat was prowling a residential street in the early morning hours.

A mountain lion was spotted on a residential street in Woodside early this morning, San Mateo County emergency officials said.

The cat was seen by a newspaper delivery person in the 300 block of Raymundo Drive at about 4:40 a.m.

San Mateo County sheriff's deputies were dispatched to the rural area and checked the neighborhood but did not see the animal.
