Small Plane Missing After Takeoff From Peninsula Airport
The Coast Guard is searching for the missing plane.
The U.S. Coast Guard is searching the waters off the San Mateo County coast this morning for a small airplane that was reported missing Monday night.
The pilot was reported to have left from an airport in Half Moon Bay and did not arrive at his destination as scheduled, according to the U.S. Coast Guard.
A spokesman for the U.S. Coast Guard said the search would extend about 20 nautical miles south of Half Moon Bay.
