Oakland Raiders Cornerback, Chimdi Chekwa, Camp One Foundation and the Bay Area Chapter of Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation have partnered together to host a sports camp for kids ages 7-14 on March 30, 2014 at Menlo- Atherton High School in Atherton, CA from 9am- 2pm. Check in begins at 8:30am.
Chimdi Chekwa will be joined by fellow teammates to provide a fun filled day of football,basketball, soccer and other activities for children with and without Type 1 diabetes. Camp One's goal is to encourage good sportsmanship, acceptability, and to promote the idea that no matter what the circumstances are in your life you can achieve anything you set your mind to.
Lunch will be provided for all kids in attendance and there will be a parent segment for those interested in learning more about new technology and information in the Type 1 Diabetes community.
