Monday Tap Takeover at Patxi's

Patxi’s Pal Alto patrons and beer fans will enjoy a perfect cure for “The Mondays” when Strike Brewing takes over the taps in September. Every Monday through September 30, Strike Brewing Company’s co-Founder and Brewmaster Drew Ehrlich will be on hand to discuss their beers, lead tableside tastings and shoot the breeze with guests. Ehrlich, a Stanford grad and former pitcher for their baseball team (hence the Strike title) started Strike Brewing Company in 2008 with two other athlete friends.

Mondays in September, three of Patxi’s existing taps will be taken over and replaced with: Strike Brown, Strike Blonde, and Strike Imperial Red.

For each Tap Takeover Monday, Patxi’s will offer perfectly paired pizzas to complement Strike’s craft brews. Combinations include:

·      the “Favorite” with the Strike Brown because this combo is heavy on the meat and  loaded with mushrooms, it pairs nicely with the malty/toasty medium-bodied flavor of Strike Brown;

·      the Bianco Verde with Strike Blonde because this pizza is on the lighter side. Fresh Ricotta cheese is perfectly balanced by the refreshing yet slightly hoppy notes of Strike Blonde;

·      and the BBQ Chicken combo with Strike Imperial Red, because this Red  effortlessly compliments the smokiness of the bacon in Patxi’s BBQ combo.

Guests who take part in the takeover will receive free commemorative Strike Brewing pint glasses along with other goodies like Strike  t-shirts and coasters. As an added bonus, those who bring their pint glasses back the following Monday will receive $1 off a Strike  draught (through September 30).
