O’Neill. During that time he witnessed everything including the evolving
relationship between two of the most powerful men running the country – O’Neil
and President Ronald Reagan. Matthews says the pair, “couldn’t be more
different or more the same” and highlights the unlikely friendship between
Reagan and O’Neill that endured philosophical differences and bipartisan
politics.
