Sequoia YMCA Heirloom Tomato, Pepper, Flower and Herb Sale Helping Kids Go to Camp

REDWOOD CITY— The Sequoia YMCA Dirty Dozen, made up of 45 volunteers, will host the 6th Annual Heirloom Tomato & More Sale on Saturday, April 14, starting at 9 a.m., at 262 Santiago Ave. in Redwood City, featuring 50 varieties of tomato plants, 20 varieties of hot and sweet peppers, and 31 varieties of herbs and flowers, all for $3 each. The sale is very popular, with plants selling out last year by noon.

Proceeds will provide financial assistance for children from low-income families to go to summer camp at the Y, with no cost to their parents.  Click on link below for complete list of plants.

Thank you to Spectrum Magazine, Donato Enoteca, Lyngso Garden Materials, Wegman’s Nursery, all of Redwood City, Kellogg Garden Supply, Farmer John & Franchi Seeds Half Moon Bay, and Morningsun Herb Farm Vacaville for their donations.
