The End of Edgewood Eats, At Least For Now

Palo Alto's beloved weekly food-truck festival Edgewood Eats will have it's final gathering on Tuesday night.

Edgewood Plaza, where the handful of food trucks and hundreds of hungry customers gathered every week for the past two years or so, was purchased by Sand Hill Property Company and will no longer be available as a venue for the event.

On Tuesday, July 10 from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Edgewood Eats will welcome a dozen of it's most popular food trucks for one final showing. As always, a portion of the event's proceeds will go towards Palo Alto Partners in Education, a nonprofit that helps raise money for the Palo Alto Unified School District. Since it's inception in September 2010, Edgewood Eats has raised "tens of thousands of dollars for over a dozen charitable organizations," according to an email sent by event organizer Susie Hwang.

Ben Lin, a frequent customer of Edgewood Eats, will miss the event.

“It was a great experience to go and see Edgewood Eats,” Lin said. “There are a lot of interesting trucks and I like the atmosphere because there are a lot of people.”
