THOSE WHO WANT TO ATTEND AN SFO NOISE MEETING WITH "THE POWERS THAT BE," PLEASE LET ME KNOW HERE, AND SUPERVISOR DAVE PINE WILL INCLUDE YOU ON THE LIST! ALSO, GIVE ME YOUR NOISE COMPLAINTS HERE, AND I WILL PRESENT THEM!

As I am sure you know, SFO has been ramping up the planes, and noise. We need  to let them know that it isn't acceptable! When I spoke with an SFO operator, and she asked about the nature of my call, I told her it had to do with the airport noise, she responded with, "you live in an airport town, you have to put up with it!" WRONG ANSWER! This is not the same airport, noise, or amount of traffic that was here when the airport came to the area in the 1940's! In fact, it isn't the same airport, noise, or traffic, as it was 5, or 6 years ago! We should not be a society that allows people to be at the bottom of the importance pile! Everything that goes on is FOR people! BUT it cannot be at the EXPENSE OF PEOPLE! We need to CO-EXIST! Does Millbrae, along with surrounding cities, really want to be the crappy, noise abused "airport towns?" Millbrae (etc) was HERE FIRST! Back in the 40's, no one could have predicted the change in the planes, the horrible noise, or the major influx of air traffic! If the airport wants to be here, it has to do everything possible to not infringe upon the rights of the residents! No one should have to put up with an obnoxious neighbor, no matter who they are!
"I  am in the process of arranging a meeting with the SFO Noise Abatement Office and interested Millbrae residents.  SFO has reserved two possible dates for the meeting: Friday, January 3rd at 4 pm Friday, January 10th at 4 pm."-Supervisor Dave Pine
Please let me know of your SFO issues here, and I will let you know which (or both) date(s) for the meeting(s). Let me know of your interest in attending these so very important meetings! If you cannot attend, please let me know your SFO issues, and if you have any recommendations, or solutions. Thank you! Be well! Cheryl
