Every year as Christmas draws near, I start itching to watch my favorite holiday movie. Once it comes on, I just know in my heart that the holidays are here.
For me, it's a toss-up - my two absolute favorites are A Charlie Brown Christmas and A Christmas Story. Both, I have been watching faithfully every year, since I was a child. And, now that I have children of my own, I love how much my boys are starting to love Charlie Brown just as much as I do.
As for my husband, I think one of the reasons I first fell in love with him was when, during our very first Christmas together when we were dating, we realized we both loved A Christmas Story just as much as the other. Now, 10 years later, one of our favorite holiday pasttimes is curling up under a blanket on the couch every Christmas Eve and watching it together with a mug of hot apple cider, reciting the funniest lines right along with the characters.
