Arco Gas Station Robbed at Gunpoint
Two robberies occurred within 30 minutes of each other in Palo Alto Wednesday night--an Arco gas station was robbed at gunpoint, and a person was strong-armed and stripped of property.
A man robbed the Arco gas station at 699 San Antonio Road at gunpoint Wednesday night, making off with an unknown amount of cash.
At approximately 10:09 p.m., the suspect entered the convenience store, pulled a handgun and demanded cash from the register. The worker complied and handed over an unspecified amount of money.
The robber was described as either white or Hispanic, around 5-foot-6 with a medium build, and wearing a black hooded jacket and blue jeans. He fled the scene on foot.

No one was injured during the crime.
Officers arrived on the scene almost immediately, but could not locate the suspect, police said.

In a separate strong-armed robbery on Wednesday night, an unknown suspect took someone's property by force on Ventura Avenue at approximately 10:43 p.m. Detectives are still investigating the crime and believe the victim may know the perpetrator, Lt. Sandra Brown said. Investigators may release additional information on Thursday, she added.
