DUI Checkpoint Planned for Saturday Night
The California Highway Patrol will conduct a sobriety checkpoint tonight.
The Peninsula Office of the California Highway Patrol will conduct a sobriety checkpoint Saturday from 8 p.m. to 12 a.m. to deter commuters from driving drunk.
“Every year, members of our community are injured or killed on local roadways by impaired drivers. It is the Department’s goal to use this enforcement tool to assist with the reduction of injury and fatal collisions that are caused by drunk drivers,” the CHP said. “We are asking the public to designate a driver if they happen to allow alcohol to be part of their evening.”
The CHP is not disclosing the location of the checkpoint. It could be anywhere along the Peninsula.
