Eli's Market Robbed at Gunpoint

Two suspects robbed a store clerk at Eli's Market in Palo Alto at gunpoint Thursday night, making the second armed robbery in the city limits this week.

Masked men robbed at gunpoint Thursday night, making off with cash from the register.

At approximately 7:45  p.m., two suspects entered the convenience store at 3487 El Camino Real, drew handguns and demanded cash from the register. The worker complied and handed over an unspecified amount of money. The two robbers then fled the scene on foot. 

The suspects were described as roughly 6-foot with thin frames and wearing dark pants and black hooded sweatshirts. The worker could not identify their race.

No one was injured during the crime.

Officers arrived on the scene almost immediately but could not locate the suspect, police said.

Thursday's robbery follows a similar crime the day before when an armed man robbed the Arco gas station at 699 San Antonio Road shortly before 11 p.m.
