Former Stanford Hospital Technician Arrested for Sexual Battery

The suspect, a resident of Fremont, allegedly touched victims breasts and genitals.

A Fremont resident accused for the inappropriate fondling of a Stanford Hospital patient has been arrested, Palo Alto Police officials announced Monday.

The 35-year-old David Ira Bradford allegedly touched the genitals and breasts of a 40-something-year-old woman on at least two occasions while she had been semi-sedated by medication last February on a brief stay at the Clinical Decision Unit at 300 Pasteur Dr., a police press release reported.

The suspect and victim were strangers to one another.

After detectives and the administration of Stanford Hospital and Clinics identified the suspect, the police presented the case to the Santa Clara County District Attorney’s Office.

The DA's office filed charges against the suspect for felony sexual battery by fraud, felony sexual battery of a hospitalized victim and misdemeanor sexual battery.

The police took Bradford under arrest on Sunday, Sept. 8 at about 9:01 p.m. on the 34000 block of Calcutta Dr. in Fremont.

The PAPD asks anyone with information about this suspect to call their 24-hour non-emergency number 650-329-2413. Anonymous tips can be e-mailed to paloalto@tipnow.org or sent via text message or voice mail to 650-383-8984.
