Is this Bank Robber a Man or a Woman (PHOTOS)

Suspect described as a black female (possibly male), 20-30 years old, 5-foot-4 to 5-foot-7, 110 pounds, with black curly wig and dark sunglasses.

The San Jose Police Department is asking for the public's help in identifying and locating a suspect involved in a recent string of bank robberies in San Jose and Milpitas.

The suspect is described as a black female (possibly male), 20-30 years old, 5-foot-4 to 5-foot-7, 110 pounds, with black curly wig and dark sunglasses.

Since Nov. 9, 2013 when the suspect robbed the Wells Fargo Bank at 139 Ranch Dr. in Milpitas, here is the list of the robberies police believe the suspect committed:

LOCATIONS/DATES/TIMES:

  • Saturday, Nov. 9, 2013, 1:54 p.m.: Wells Fargo Bank, 139 Ranch Dr. in Milpitas
  • Saturday, Nov. 23, 2013, 11:28 a.m.: Wells Fargo Bank, 1705 N. 1st St. in San Jose
  • Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2013, 2:25 p.m.: Bank of America, 1245 Lincoln Ave. in San Jose
  • Monday, Dec. 30, 2013, 1:10 p.m.: Wells Fargo Bank, 1715 Landess Ave. in Milpitas
  • Monday, Jan. 6, 2014, 2:22 p.m.: Comerica Bank, 1289 S. Park Victoria Dr. in Milpitas

The unidentified suspect entered each of the listed banks, presented a demand note, made threats and/or brandished a handgun. The suspect demanded money and fled the scene before police arrived.

The suspect took an undisclosed amount of money and has not been located. No injuries were reported.

Police say the suspect is becoming progressively more brazen and should be considered armed and dangerous.

Also, an additional reward of up to $10,000 dollars (up to $5,000 from Wells Fargo and up to $5,000 from Bank of America) is being offered for the "identification and conviction of the suspect(s) associated with these robberies."
