Jack In the Box Jacked, Suspect at Large

Suspect exchanged handwritten note for fistful of cash.

A male suspect is on the loose after robbing a Jack in The Box on El Camino Real in Palo Alto Wednesday night.

At 7:55 p.m. Wednesday, a male suspect entered the Jack in the Box on 2280 El Camino Real and approached the counter. He gave a handwritten note demanding money to an employee, police said.

The worker complied with the request and emptied the cash register drawer. The exact amount was unknown at the time police issued a statement.

Police were told the suspect is a white male in his twenties with blonde hair and blue eyes, short, and with a thin build. He was reportedly wearing dark pants and a black hooded sweatshirt with red writing on the front.

After taking the cash, the suspect ran from the scene on foot southbound on El Camino Real.

No weapons were used in the robbery, and no one was harmed or injured, police said.

Palo Alto Police officers responded immediately upon receiving the call, and searched the area to no avail. Further details will be made available at the conclusion of an investigation.
