State Highway 1 in Half Moon Bay has reopened after a major injury crash blocked both directions of traffic this afternoon, according to San Mateo County emergency officials.
An emergency alert was sent at 1:38 p.m. about a major injury accident on Highway 1 near Grandview Boulevard.
The highway was shut down to allow a medical helicopter to land, emergency officials said.

A major injury accident at Highway 1 at Grandview Boulevard in Half Moon Bay has Highway 1 closed in both directions this afternoon, according to the San Mateo County Office of Emergency Services.
A medical helicopter will be landing, and alternate travel routes are advised, according to the Sunday 1:38 p.m. alert.
