Man Arrested for Indecent Exposure While Bike Riding
Palo Alto Police make arrest on the Fourth of July; man charged by District Attorney.
A man was arrested on the Fourth of July on suspicion of indecent exposure after a couple witnessed him allegedly masturbating while riding a bicycle near a Palo Alto park, police said today.
Clark Duncan McElfresh, 51, was arrested at about 7:45 p.m. Thursday a few blocks from Seale Park in Palo Alto where the couple had called police minutes earlier to report seeing a man expose himself, police said.
The couple told police they were in their car with their kids, both under 5 years old, and were about to park when they saw the man masturbating while biking back and forth in the 3100 block of Stockton Place, police said.
Officers who responded soon located McElfresh, who matched the couple's description of the suspect, police said.
The Santa Clara County District Attorney's Office has since charged him with misdemeanor indecent exposure, police said.
