Man Shot in Leg During Home Invasion Robbery

East Palo Alto man shot in Sacramento Street robbery

A 33-year-old East Palo Alto man was shot in the leg Thursday morning during a home-invasion robbery, police said.          

Officers responded to the 500 block of Sacramento Street at about 4:40 a.m. when a ShotSpotter activation suggested gunshots were fired in front of a residence, police said.          

Police learned two men with guns had entered the victim's home, and a confrontation ensued.

The suspects shot the victim in the leg and escaped with stolen property, police said.
