Man Shot in the Head in East Palo Alto

The drive-by shooting happened Wednesday night.

A man was shot in the head in East Palo Alto during a drive-by shooting Wednesday night, according to police.
     
At about 7:54 p.m., officers received a report of a shooting victim in the 300 block of Azalia Drive.
     
Officers responded to the scene where they located a 29-year-old East Palo Alto man suffering from a gunshot wound to his head.
     
Paramedics transported the victim to the hospital, where he is in stable condition, according to police.
     
According to the police investigation, the victim was walking on the street when a dark colored vehicle slowly approached him. An occupant of the vehicle fired a handgun at the victim, striking him in the head.
     
The suspect vehicle fled the scene before police arrived.

information regarding the incident is asked to contact police at (650)
